"Although I saw Linky's photos before adopting her, I still burst into tears when I saw her (in person) and how extremely skinny and neglected she was! It broke my heart! The IFAW team really does amazing work and they are the little guardian angels for the poor animals out there!"
- Linky's New Mom, ElanzaDear Marylise,
I wanted to update you on the condition of Linky, the wonderful pup I recently told you about that was rescued from a township in South Africa after being found chained in a backyard, neglected and starving.
So many of you have reached out to ask how Linky is doing. And I'm happy to report back to you that the answer is: very well!
According to Linky's new Mom, Elanza, Linky spends most of her days on the couch watching TV. When she's not channel surfing, she's out playing in the backyard with her new 'brother', another dog also rescued by the IFAW-funded clinic in South Africa.
And as big is she is, Linky spends her nights sleeping safe and sound under the bed covers with her new best friend.
Give now to make more dreams come true for other desperate animals like Linky.
It's only with your support that more animals like Linky can be rescued and re-homed every day. In just the past week I received more reports of animals being given a second chance in the impoverished areas of South Africa such as:- Four dogs kept in a 6ft x 3ft enclosure without water and only rotten food to eat;
- Two cats given over for rehoming because their owner feared for their lives after discovering cats in her neighborhood are being poisoned;
- A dog being provided for after its owner's home burnt to the ground in a terrible fire.
It's simple but true. Rescues like these can't happen without your help.
So please donate whatever amount you can afford today.
So on behalf of Linky and all the other animals your gift helped save this week...thank you!
Fred O'Regan
IFAW President & CEO
P.S. IFAW is the only provider of animal healthcare in the areas where Linky lived. Your donation is critical to ensuring that pets who need vet care have a chance to get the urgent help they need.
